Fair's end

The only other things I entered this year were not tatted.  I entered these two crocheted doilies:

Now I have to decide which to enter in the state fair, because they turned out to both be in the same size category and I can only enter one in each category at the state.  Which do you think I should enter?

    That is a really tough decision - they are both GORGEOUS!!!

    Don't ever ask easy questions, do you? I like the overall shape and outer border of the pineapple one, but I really like the negative space of the other one. I think whichever you enter will be sure to win a ribbon, so you might as well just flip a coin.

    Decisions, decisions....

    I attempted two "empirical" methods of decision-making: eenie-meenie-miney-moe and the squinty-eye test. Each one returned a different result.

    So I advise throwing those attempts! LOL,

    As I have (truly) been craving pineapple all day, I am going with the pineapple doily.

    They are both such fine work, I feel confident that either choice would hold up to the highest standards.

    Beautiful works of art, very deserving of their Blue ribbons.
    I'm particularly attracted to the pineapple, but it's a tough choice!

    Both are beautiful, but I vote for the pineapple doily to go to statefair :-)

    they are both beautiful but I think the first one shows of more of the work. It looks to be more intricate than the second one. The second is full of chains while the first one has many more types of stitches

    They are both gorgeous.
    I think the lower one shows more skill getting the outer chains the same tension. So I vote for #2

    I would vote for the pineapples going to the state fair - I think that doily looks more difficult and detailed as far as judging goes. They are both beautiful :)

    Both are very pretty, but I am drawn the the top one. Why? Everyone makes round doilies, but the top one is "eye catching" (I think) because it is DIFFERENT and therefore UNIQUE. So I vote for the top one.
