Blocking at Least

Lucky Clover by Blomqvist and Persson in Tatting Patterns and Designs is one of the last things I finished before hand surgery. It's taken a while to get my fingers willing to pick up pins, let alone push them into the blocking board. This one is made with "Jewel of the Nile" King Tut quilting thread. It measures about 6.25 inches (16 cm) in diameter. I don't have any plans for it, so it might end up as a gift.

This is beautiful Marty. I have the book but never thought of making any of the big doilies from it. maybe now I should try.

This is stunning! I have the book. I have the thread. Oh, dear! There are so many designs I want to try! Is retirement really 12 years away?

I'm glad your hand is healing... can't wait to see more of your beautiful work!

Very pretty, Marty! I'm glad that your hands are well enough to block now. I'll have to look for this pattern in my book.

Hi Marty,
I used your idea of photographing my pattern and it worked great! Thanks for the idea!

Wow Marty, that is stunning. Your tatting and blocking are perfection.

I have the book too, you have brought that pattern to life for me, I never noticed it before. The photos in the book just dont do them credit.

Lucky person who gets that for a gift.
Thanks so much for showing it to us.

Tell those hands to take it easy.

Wow - beautiful colors. And in quilting thread! That's a lot of work, but seen here, it is obvious the effort was well worth it.
