Gift Ornament Nine

Very traditional red and green with gold beads made in size 30 DMC CebeliĆ”. Another one copied from an ornament made years ago. This one is most probably not an original, but an adaptation of a doily or snowflake. With all the books I've got, I've been too lazy to sit down and go through them all to discover which ones I used to make all the old ornaments. If you recognize this pattern, please let me know. (This is a not so subtle attempt to get someone else to go through all those pattern books!)

Lovely pattern! It's gorgeous! Marty you are one talented gal! Still think you need to write a book!!!

I love this one! The white ball really makes the red and green design stand out.

Hmmm... look through all my tatting books for the pattern... sounds like a challenge I'd enjoy... too bad I'm not at home with my books!

Book writing is not for me. That's way too much like work! Besides, I can only be certain about three of these designs -- I do believe all the others may be adaptations of someone else's work. Three is not enough for all the work it would take to make a book. In addition, the patterns for two of them have been posted in various tatting groups -- indeed, one of them is on this blog at 9/25/2008. Why buy when you can get the pattern free? :)

You have done so many beautiful ornaments. It is very hard to pick one being a favourite. Very well done.
