TIP for International Tatting Day

In the waiting room at the clinic in an almost comfortable chair, I did my tatting in public. Too bad International Tatting Day, April Fool's Day, and my least favorite day of the year all fell on the same day this year. Of course April Fool's day and International Tatting Day are fixed in time, but my annual physical floats around. There's nothing dignified about a visit to the doctor, and my tatting covers more than the gown and sheet! Why is it doctors talk to you when you're starkers? They should get all that poking around business out of the way then let you get dressed for the discussion. Oh, I'm getting carried away. I did TIP. I finished the rest of round 8 of my Renulek Spring doily and started on round 9. The ends for round 8 still need to be hidden and the back is looking generally thready -- lots of ends need to be clipped when this is finished!

Your doily is looks very spring-y and bright. Too bad you had to spend your day at the Dr's office but at least you had your chance at TIPping. I always leave all the ends somewhat long until I'm finished with a piece, less chance of them working their way out. But getting all of them on such a large piece will be a bit challenging.

Your doily is so colorful! Isn't it wonderful that we have such a variety to choose from? Of course, you are extra lucky to have such a talented sister!

Looking good, I take my tatting with me when we have appointments at the hospital and it will be going with me next week when I have an op and stay in for a few days

I love your rainbow colors! I take my tatting with me to any/all appointments, and tat in public any time I'm out. I think they must learn that in med school - all of them seem to do that - talk to you when you're sitting there covered with something no bigger than a hanky....I'm with you - get it over with, THEN talk to me when I've had a chance to get dressed. ;-) At least the doily is big enough to help give you a little extra 'coverage.' ;-)

When I go in for that GYN exam, she always talks to me in the drape too. Saves them time, I guess.

I didn't TIP on Tatting Day, but I do it often. I go to lots of dr appts with my kids and spend the waiting room time with my shuttles.
