Twenty-fourth Motif

This one was actually finished on May 5, but, as I made it for Mary Donohue's 5-inch doily exchange, I needed to wait until it was received before posting it here. It's "Milena" from Tatted Doilies by Iris Niebach. Another wonderful pattern done in one pass. This is what happened to the rest of the DMC size 80 red ombre thread. :)
Lately, I've been making lots of bookmarks for the next exchange -- trying to find one that suits me. All these are of my own design, just letting the shuttle do what it wants -- so there are no patterns but the finished pieces. As I won't post any of them until the exchange is complete I should probably make one more piece just for the 25 motif challenge.
Perhaps I will put the bookmarks I don't send away on my denim purse for the Treasures from Trash challenge! Actually, participating in the challenge has kept me tatting (far too late some nights). Much better than neglecting my shuttles and letting all my thread stash become antique.

I'm really delighted, when I see my designs tatted so well and coming out so perfect and pretty. Thank you for making them and showing them. I will remember you, when I have a new book ready.
