Knot Wrong

As in not right.  "Whew," I was thinking, "finally, ready for the next row!"  That was so not true.  It turns out in trying to split these individual motifs so I could work the doily in rounds (the one I was working on for Tatting Day) I got the stitch counts backwards on the split rings.  Fiddle.  Out came the scissors, forty-eight little snip-and-rips later this is what I've got -- a pile of knot wrong.

I'm about half way around putting this row back on -- but it's not wrong this time it's Knot Right!

That's a lot of little snip-and-rips. Having done the same thing recently (but only 6 snip-and-rips), I do sympathize. I'm glad it's Knot Right now!

I think I would cry!

And to think we call tatting "relaxing" :)

Horrors! Wish it was only a bad dream! Maybe you could salvage those bits to use as card decorations or to decorate a bag or something?

The lump in my throat at the sight of your surgical precision threatens to choke off my air. Please do show us the "knot right" repair, otherwise *I* might never recover.

You are so much braver than I!

I found myself wincing in sympathy as I read your post. I'm so proud of you for getting back to work on the round before the discouragement could settle in. Way to go!
